<div>Born in Wisconsin, her family traveled across the Midwest until settling into east Indianapolis when she was nine. Cheri earned her journalism degree at Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana, in 2005, where she served as Franklin’s newspaper editor in-chief and house manager for Delta Delta Delta. Professionally, she began her career at the Johnson County United Way office as a communications coordinator, and later advanced to Director of Communications at the National Dart Association in Indianapolis. She also wrote several freelance newspaper, magazine, and website articles.</div>

<div>Since settling to Muncie, Cheri became involved with the Muncie Young Professionals and enjoys attending the community, social, leadership and networking events. She currently serves on the MYP Steering Committee as the General Chair-Elect. Her volunteer work in Muncie also includes mentoring a “little” in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware Country organization since 2009.</div>
<p><br/></p>
<div>In her free time, Cheri trains for the Indianapolis mini, devours books on the weekends, and paints her new home near the Ball State campus purchased with her husband.</div>

<p>Professionally, Mandi is employed as the Director of Membership Services at Delta Zeta National Headquarters located in Oxford, OH. She is fortunate to have the opportunity to telecommute allowing her to become involved in activities within and among the Muncie community. Professionally Mandi is a member of the Association of Fraternity and Sorority Advisors (AFA) and the Fraternity Executives Association (FEA). She has served on the Board of Directors for Hazing Prevention.Org, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending hazing practices throughout college campuses. Currently Mandi volunteers as a member of the Campus Division for the Circle of Sisterhood, an organization dedicated to removing educational barriers for girls and women, uplifting them from poverty and oppression.</p>
<p>While living in Cincinnati Mandi’s community involvement included membership in the Junior Chamber International (JCI) where she served as the Vice President of Membership, President and Chairman of the Board. Since returning to Muncie, Mandi became immediately involved with the Muncie Young Professionals and enjoys attending the community, social, leadership and networking events that MYP provides. She currently serves on the MYP Steering Committee as the Archives Chair. Her volunteer work in Muncie also includes participating in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk-Muncie event, Feed My Sheep and the Women Build Project with Habitat for Humanity.</p>
<p>In her free time Mandi enjoys working out, shopping, traveling, Cincinnati Reds baseball, Ball State Athletics and spending time with her friends and family. Mandi and her husband Sam reside in Muncie along with their three cats and yellow lab, Goldi.</p>

<p>The Indiana SBDC specializes in providing educational, training, reviews, planning, counseling and market research services to existing and prospective small business owners and managers. The ISBDC provides assistance to entrepreneurs at every stage of business development. Clients range from individuals who need assistance in deciding if self-employment is right for them to business owners looking to expand overseas. ISBDC Business Advisors have access to nationally recognized research tools in order to help clients make calculated business decisions.</p>
<p>Looking for a unique way to volunteer and give back to the community?</p>

<p>Steph is a native of Illinois and escaped the Midwest for a college adventure at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.  While studying for a degree in print journalism, she found her real passion for public radio.  She moved to Muncie in 2007 to begin work for Indiana Public Radio, where she is a reporter and producer, and hosts “All Things Considered” in the afternoons.  In the community, Steph serves on the Ball State University Freshman Common Reader Book Selection Committee.  When not on-air or attending MYP events, she can usually be found browsing the stacks at the local libraries.</p>
