General Chair

Olivia Fellows grew up in Paducah, KY. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. She came to Indiana in 2012 to attend Ball State University, and graduated in 2014 with a Master’s degree in Applied Social Psychology.

Currently, Olivia is the Guardian Scholars Program Coordinator at Ball State University, a post-secondary support program for foster care alumni. Being new to the Muncie area, she was interested in connecting with other young professionals in the community, and joined Muncie Young Professionals in July 2014. Olivia wants all young professionals to feel connected to the community, and be someone that can champion young professionals as great leaders.

In the community, serves as the Board President of Hearts and Hands United, Recording Secretary of Tri Kappa Delta Phi, and a member of Muncie Sunrise Rotary. She also mentors college students through Project Leadership. Olivia is a Spring 2016 graduate of Shafer Leadership Academy’s Emergence program. When she is not working or volunteering, Olivia loves to cook, catch up with family and friends, and spoil her cats, Reese and Isla.

Jeremy Allison grew up in the small town of Rushville, IN. Jeremy graduated from RCHS in 2004 and after high school Jeremy moved to New Castle, IN to be closer to school. Jeremy attended Indiana University East where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administrations.

Jeremy currently holds the position as the Sr. Consumer Relationship Manager with a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor designation for PrimeTrust Financial FCU where he trains, networks, volunteers and helps implement various programs. Jeremy currently is on the Advisory Committee of the Ball State University Center of Economic Education along with a few Scholarship Committees for Delaware County programs. Jeremy was told about Muncie Young Professionals from a few different colleagues who thought it would help him network since he was not from Muncie. Jeremy said from the very first luncheon he attended for MYP, he knew he wanted to have a bigger role in the group. Jeremy said that he just wants to give back to MYP since the MYP has helped him so much in such a short period of time.

In his spare time Jeremy loves just being with his wife Cayla and his sons Bronx and Beau. Jeremy says family is the most important thing in his life. Jeremy also loves to hunt, fish, workout, and basically anything that can get him outdoors!

Steph Wiechmann grew up in Illinois and has lived in Muncie since 2007. She holds a bachelor’s degree in print journalism from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. While in college, she became a public radio nerd, sparking the passion that brought her to Muncie.

Steph is the afternoon news voice of Indiana Public Radio. She hosts “All Things Considered” and reports from several counties in the region. She also edits work produced by the station’s student news reporters.

Steph has served in some capacity on the MYP steering committee since 2011. In the Muncie community, she’s a volunteer editor for The Facing Project and cherished many years on the selection committee for the Ball State University Freshman Common Reader, before it was eliminated by the university.  She’s also a member of the Ball State Safe Zone and Trans Zone community.   When not on-air or attending MYP events, Steph can usually be found browsing the stacks at the local libraries and finding a quiet place to read.

Amy Logan

Professional Development Chair

Amy Logan is a lifelong resident of Muncie. She graduated from Muncie Southside High School in 2003 and Ivy Tech with a degree in Hospitality Administration in 2013.

Amy joined Muncie Young Professionals in 2015 when she started her first professional position as the Director of Sales for the Courtyard Muncie. She was looking for a group of individuals that were in a similar place in life and their career. She has learned more about how to be a professional while connecting with other great young professionals in the community. The ProLunch event gave her wonderful professional development tips and she learned more about the community and how she can give back.

Amy is excited for her new venture as the Employer Relations Assistant for Ball State University’s Career Center. She is going to be connecting college students to employers, and it feels like a full circle moment.

Kyle Reninger was born and raised in Clearwater, FL. He attended the University of South Florida and has worked in the service and retail industry for the past 20 years. He and his wife, Amanda, were wed in 2008, and immediately moved to Muncie, where Amanda attended Ball State University for her Master’s Degree and Artist Diploma. They found great community and connections in Muncie, and decided to continue their life here, after Amanda’s graduation.

Kyle is the President of Acquisitions and Co-Owner of Sea Salt & Cinnamon, with his wife Amanda. Amanda is the master of the science and math in the kitchen, while Kyle is focused on developing new foods, and they collaborate on the creativity of their baked goods and savory items. They started attending Muncie Young Professionals in late 2015 to connect with more peers, develop professional relationships, and enjoy social activities.

MYP Social & Volunteer Chair is Kyle’s first Steering Committee position, and has helped to lead into other opportunities for Kyle to help grow in the Muncie community. In their free time, Kyle and Amanda can be found enjoying Downtown Muncie, at the movies, or at home with their three dogs and five cats.

Haley LeFiles was born in Central Florida but was raised in Tallahassee, Florida, which she considers to be her hometown.  She moved to Muncie after graduating from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Tourism and Events.

Recently, Haley has taken on the position of Development & Marketing Specialist at Hillcroft Services, Inc.  She will be responsible for planning and coordinating all special events,  such as the Masters Golf Tournament and the Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon.  She is also responsible for developing promotional and marketing materials for fundraising activities.

Haley joined Muncie Young Professionals as a way to connect with other professionals and to better acquaint herself with the local Muncie community. She’s also active in the Alpha Omicron Pie Indy Alumnae Chapter. Outside of work and MYP, you can catch Haley exploring the Muncie area with her boyfriend, shopping at the local Farmer’s Market, or going for a walk along the White River.

Kari Wissel

Marketing Chair

Kari Wissel serves as the Marketing Chair of Muncie Young Professionals. Following graduation from Ball State University in the Fall of 2017, Kari decided to make downtown Muncie home.

Recently beginning her career with Ball State’s Center for Advancement of Digital Marketing and Analytics, Kari actively plans events for students and professionals and assists CADMA in becoming a nationally recognized educational asset.

While Kari is ecstatic to be back at her Alma Mater, her passion remains with serving and empowering others. She assists the YWCA of Muncie with their marketing efforts and does freelance work for local businesses. Her favorite part about Muncie is the immense feeling of community. You can often catch Kari refueling at The Caffeinery, attending events like First Thursday, or catching up with friends at The Peach.
